Moving In

Welcome to Calvin鈥檚 campus! You belong here.

Move In Dates

General move-in is Thursday, August 28, 2025 (new students) and Friday, August 29, 2025 (returning students). Some students, including athletes, international students, and dorm leadership have earlier move-in dates.

  • Football athletes: Tuesday, August 12, 2025听
  • Other athletes: Thursday, August 14, 2025听
  • Wilderness Orientation students: date TBD
  • Students moving from KE to the halls: Sunday, August 24, 2025
  • New international students: Monday, August 25, 2025听听
  • RHET: Monday, August 25, 2025
  • General early arrivals (by appointment): Tuesday, August 26, 2025
  • Barnabas, SET, SCs: Wednesday, August 27, 2025听
  • General move in, new students: Thursday, August 28, 2025听
  • General move in, returning students: Friday, August 29, 2025 and through the weekend

Look for emails from housing@calvin.edu and check your New Student Portal for complete details about moving in. We'll confirm your exact move-in day, time, and check-in location.

What to Bring

We recommend bringing no more than one carload of belongings when you move into the residence halls due to storage space and room size.

  • Extra long twin sheets (mattresses are 80" long)

  • Clothing for warm and cold weather
