Learn more about book banning and censorship challenges, specifically against diverse authors - sponsored by Hekman Library and CISD.

In honor of Banned Books Week and in anticipation of UNLEARN Week with CISD, Dr. Eric Washington will speak on the development and effects of censorship efforts, through book challenges and removals, against authors of color, with specific focus on Toni Morrison's works and advocacy against book banning. Join us in the Meeter Center Lecture Hall for this presentation and more info on signing up to join the Banned Books Club, where we'll be reading The Bluest Eye and discussing the book together at our end-of-the-month follow-up event.
