New Nutrition Lab—Coming December 2025

The design phase is complete as is construction bidding.

Construction will begin this summer and finish by December.

The lab will serve as a classroom and teaching kitchen for our School of Health students and faculty.

Phase #1 of Football Turf Field Construction—Coming August 2025

Construction has begun and crews are moving fast on a compressed timeline.

The new turf will be ready in August for use during the fall 2025 season and semester. Calvin’s football team will practice on the new turf and will play at the soccer stadium temporarily (until Phase 2 of the Football field is funded and built in future years).

More information on phase #2—which includes stands and a press box—is forthcoming.

A was provided on pathways and access from Sarah Visser, EVP for Student Experience and Strategy at Calvin. We’ll continue to provide additional updates and install necessary signage as changes are made while various construction projects continue.

Visitor Parking Map (PDF)

As of fall 2023, Calvin athletes began practicing and competing on the newly constructed Zuidema Soccer Field (map and directions) and outdoor track.

In fall 2024, the soccer stadium and football building were also completed. Calvin’s first-ever football team has settled into its new home in the football building and visitors were excited to enjoy their first soccer game from the stadium on October 5.

Library staff and services are moved into the fully renovated 300 level.Ìý

With the construction zone gone, parking spaces have been expanded, making it easier for everyone at Calvin to secure a great spot.Ìý

Parking for the Speech and Hearing Clinic will generally be located on the west side of the engineering building. Parking is plentiful there, and new crosswalks have been installed on the ring road between the clinic site and its new parking lot.

Peet’s moved back into the second floor of the library. Peet’s re-opened Monday, August 19th, 2024.
