Majora Carter will share how economic diversity is a cornerstone of healthy, vibrant communities. Guided by her experience in urban revitalization, Majora illustrates how low-status communities need to use the same talent-retention strategies that successful business implement, reducing the brain-drain that cripples local economic progress.

Majora Carter is a real estate developer and urban revitalization strategy consultant who teaches at Princeton University. Born and raised in the South Bronx, she has led the creation of economic development, green infrastructure, and technology inclusion projects nationwide. Majora founded Sustainable South Bronx and Green For All and launched innovative ventures like Boogie Down Grind and StartUp Box.
