Join us for a fun night with the Chinese Student Association (CSA) as we watch the hilarious and action-packed movie Detective Chinatown (唐人街探案)! Follow the quirky duo Tang Ren and Qin Feng as they race through the streets of Bangkok to solve a thrilling murder mystery full of laughs, surprises, and clever twists.
When nerdy aspiring detective Qin Feng visits his uncle Tang Ren in Bangkok, he finds himself caught up in a murder and gold theft case. To clear Tang Ren’s name, the two mismatched partners must team up, using Qin Feng’s logic and Tang Ren’s street smarts to solve the mystery. A hilarious mix of comedy, action, and clever detective twists set in the lively chaos of Bangkok’s Chinatown.

We’ll be watching Detective Chinatown, a hit Chinese comedy that combines thrilling detective work with nonstop humor.

The story follows Qin Feng, a brilliant but awkward young man who travels to Bangkok to visit his uncle Tang Ren, a self-proclaimed “top detective.” But soon, Tang Ren is accused of a murder and gold theft, and the two must team up to prove his innocence. What begins as a chaotic misunderstanding turns into a clever and hilarious chase through the bustling streets of Bangkok’s Chinatown — full of twists, puzzles, and surprises!
