Join Us for a Celebration of Scholarship 

We are excited to invite all faculty and staff to a celebratory gathering honoring the recent publication of Sociology professor, Dr. Mark Mulder!

Mark has co-authored "The Church Must Grow or Perish: Robert H. Schuller and the Business of American Christianity," which examines Schuller’s indelible imprint on the American church, and how he developed a model of ministry—both lauded and critiqued—that transformed Christian life and community across this country. Schuller’s story is the starting point for powerful trends that continue to shape much of American religion today: televangelism, seeker-sensitive outreach, megachurches, the suburbanization of white Christianity, pastoral entrepreneurship, and market-oriented Christianity in pursuit of growth.

Please join us on Thursday, May 1st, from 4:00-5:00 PM in the Spoelhof Atrium. Enjoy an afternoon together with fellow colleagues as we celebrate Dr. Mulder's scholarly achievement and learn more about his book. Copies will be available for purchase.
